Science Broadcast for Kids: Studying Seamounts

On October 19^th (2pm ET), Fisheries and Oceans Canada Marine Biologist, Dr. Cherisse Du Preez, will share her Pacific seamount research via an Exploring by the Seat of Your Pants (EBTSOYP) broadcast. EBTSOYP is a Canadian non-profit that brings together scientists and classrooms through google hangouts. Cherisse will be chatting live with 6 classrooms, but anyone can tune in and submit their questions!

Cherisse studies seafloor habitats in potential Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in the Pacific Ocean. She will be discussing her research surveys of seamounts in the Offshore Pacific Area of Interest.
